Flour becomes more expensive in Ukraine

Difficulties with the purchase of wheat and rising demand have led to an increase in flour prices in Ukraine.

This is reported by APK-Inform, referring to the data of its own monitoring.

Most flour milling companies in Ukraine continue to operate. At the same time, some of them increased selling prices for wheat flour.

Along with the difficulties in purchasing raw materials, support for the price situation was also strengthened by the demand for this type of finished product from both bakeries against the backdrop of the traditional increase in bread consumption in the country during the critical period, and retail chains due to the desire of the population to stock up food products from - due to uncertainty about the duration of hostilities.

Additional support for prices was provided by the devaluation of the national currency, an increase in energy costs, a shortage of fuel in the country, as well as the need to compensate for the costs of enterprises for humanitarian assistance.

Consequently, as of March 11, the offer prices for wheat flour of the highest and 1st grade were mainly announced in the range of 12400-13300 UAH / t and 12000-12900 UAH / t EXW, which is 200-300 UAH / t higher than the pre-war period .

However, it should be noted that some processors continued to sell products at the same time at the same prices.
