Since the beginning of the year, Artyomsol has produced almost 1.3 million tons of salt
The state salt production enterprise "Artemsol" produced 1.26 million tons of salt in the first 9 months of 2021.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.
“Since the beginning of the year, the company has continued to increase production volumes, which are 63.3% higher than last year's indicators and 10.3% higher than the plans. In just 3 quarters, the mines produced and processed 1.2 million tons of salt, which is 491.5 thousand tons more than in the corresponding period of 2020,” the statement said.
Note that from January to September, the production of salt increased, which is shipped unpacked (in bulk). This type of assortment was produced 979.6 thousand tons, or 77.3% of the total production. In addition, compared to the previous year, the production of bagged salt has increased. The demand for other types of products remained almost unchanged.
“As a result, the company was able to channel funds for social protection of employees. Since September 1 this year, the tariff rates and official salaries of all employees have been increased by 10%,” the ministry added.
In addition, the company managed to improve production indicators due to strengthening its positions in export markets and an increase in supplies to European countries. So, over the specified period, 525 thousand tons of salt were shipped to foreign consumers, which is 300 thousand tons more than in 9 months of 2020.
“Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Romania and other countries remain constant consumers of the State Enterprise “Artyomsol”. The volumes of shipment to the domestic market have also increased,” the Ministry of Economy summed up.
