There are five operating operators in Ukraine that produce potato starch. Four of them are located in the Chernihiv region: "Yu-Starch", FH "Borodyuk", "Levona S" and "Vimal". The enterprise "Starch products Oran" is located in the Kiev region.

Ukraine's needs for starch are estimated at 12 thousand tons, about 6 thousand tons are produced on domestic lines, although the total available production capacity can provide 40-45 thousand tons of products.

Until recently, the number of existing starch producers included the Agrointech enterprise, but it is already the second year since they stopped producing this product. Also, two more facilities in the Ternopil region are not working: the Tovstenkovsky starch plant, as well as the old line of the Samosluskovsky krochmales plant in Gusyatyn.

This season, it is planned to launch a new production facility in the Lviv region – Central Plains Group Ukraine (CPG Ukraine).
