Certified vegan chocolate is produced in Ukraine
The AVK Confectionery company was the first among Ukrainian producers to receive confirmation of the vegan composition and production process of its chocolate from an international expert - V-Label.
This was said in a statement.
”AVK Extra Black Chocolate is now officially recommended for people on a plant-based diet. It should be noted that only a product whose full composition and method of production meets the V-Label criteria receives the corresponding certificate. That is, not only the ingredients of the product are subject to careful analysis, but also additives, auxiliary substances and other components that could be used at all stages of production,” the statement says.
It is specified that extra-black chocolate "AVK" has always had only 3 components: cocoa mass, cocoa butter and sugar. Therefore, obtaining the appropriate license was only a matter of time after V-Label, the world leader in licensing vegan and vegetarian products and services, began its activities in Ukraine.
For reference: V-Label - founded in 1996 in Switzerland, at the initiative of the European Vegetarian Union (EVU). In Ukraine, the company began the certification process in January 2021. The provision of labeling in Ukraine is coordinated by the office in Warsaw. V-Label has its representative offices in more than 20 countries and more than 40 thousand products in 54 countries of the world have its difference in their packaging, which guarantees the absence of substances of animal origin in the composition.
AVK also offered plant-based alternatives to traditional meat products for supporters of a healthy, balanced diet earlier this year. The assortment line of TM Dreameat so far includes vegetable mince, burgers, meatballs and dolma. And among the BRUNCH multi-grain snacks, there is a vegan sandwich with wild berries.
