One of the parameters that needs to be monitored is the transparency of the eggshell. A transparent shell is a sign that the eggs have not developed properly, which can damage the egg shell and reduce hatchability.
When using the correct examination instruments, it is possible to partially see through the eggshell with a high level of transparency. And this means that the membrane, the collagen matrix and the shell itself did not have sufficient mineral deposits to properly form the density.
The good quality of eggshells can be negatively affected - for example, one hot day is enough for this. In addition, a bird can suffer as little stress as an unfamiliar person entering the poultry house. The sanitation and biosecurity of the poultry farm is also important, as diseases and infections can change the transparency of the eggshell.
