Ukrainian company for the production of snails opened a warehouse in Spain
The company "Snail 2016" is the only Ukrainian snail farm with a license to operate in Spain and its own staff in this country. Two more lineups are awaiting their opening in Italy and France.
The owner of the Snail 2016 farm Sergey Danileiko told about this during the Snail Farms and Snail Breeding: Best Agricultural Practices meetup.
“We grow Mediterranean and African snails on an area of 2.5 hectares. We produce 70 tons of products per year, as well as a plant in Poltava, where 5 tons of snails are processed per month, ”he notes.
Having gone the hard way of trial and error, having worked out technologies and a model of doing business in a snail, Sergey Danileiko teaches other novice manufacturers. Hundreds of people studied at the training course "How to create a business - a farm for growing snails with a productivity of 50 tons / year", created by a farmer. Also, the farm during its activity provided 170 franchises for small farms and one large one in Ukraine. As Serhiy Danileiko notes, 85% of snail farms in Ukraine have left Snail 2016.
A research center was also created on the basis of the farm. Among the significant achievements: the development and implementation of our own method for extracting cochlear mucin, which has no analogues in the world.
