The most expensive mushroom in the world was sold for more than UAH 3 million
An auction was held in northern Italy where truffles were sold. The event is traditional for Piedmont and it is not the first time that connoisseurs of the most expensive mushrooms in the world unite. By the way, the action is held in an ancient castle of the 13th century. AgroTer reports.
This time, citizens from the Emirates, Singapore and the Russian Federation were hunting for mushrooms. They traded by video link. A white truffle weighing over 800 grams was sold for 103 thousand euros. It was bought by an Italian chef who has a luxury restaurant in Hong Kong.
The auction in Piedmont also sold smaller truffles, weighing 230, 250 and 400 grams. The expensive mushrooms were bought by two Italians and a businessman from Denmark.
All proceeds from the auction will be donated to charity.
