A unique project for the development of aquaculture starts in the Mykolaiv region
The AQUABATOR project starts in the Nikolaev region - the creation of an ecosystem for the development of aquaculture in the South of Ukraine. This was reported in the press service of the Nikolaev city council.
As noted, the project is being implemented by the Mykolaiv City Council, the Galitsynovka Village Council, and the Business Support Center (as part of the Sectoral Policy Support Program - Support for Regional Policy of Ukraine).
“According to the project, a pilot aqua farm for growing trout will be built on the territory of the Galitsynivka territorial community. The digital twin AQUABATOR.online will start operating in 2022, ”the message says.
The portal will be available:
- innovative developments in the field of aquafarming;
- open database of technological solutions for aqua farms;
- a training program for starting an aquaculture business;
- information about available programs and support tools for micro, small and medium-sized businesses;
- open database of available financial instruments; requests for aqua farming products of Ukrainian manufacturers;
- offers of seeds / raw materials from suppliers; information and analytical materials.
”In the future, the aqua farm will become an attractive tourist attraction. Here they plan to conduct excursions and treat guests with freshly cooked trout. Now the premises for the location of the enterprise are almost ready. At the beginning of next year, they promise to start the active phase of the project. In general, in a year the aqua farm will grow 5 tons of fish, ”the city council said.
The project participants can be representatives of micro, small and medium-sized businesses, people interested in starting their own business, scientists and scientists (within the framework of AQUABATOR they plan to conduct research and consult), experts and representatives of educational institutions.
