The cost of borscht has increased by 30% over the year

Over the past year, the cost of borscht in Ukraine has increased by more than 30%. This is evidenced by the published index of borscht, created by the experts of the BRDO project.
“80.92 UAH – this is how much a serving of borscht for four people, prepared according to a traditional recipe, will cost in February 2022. Compared to February 2021 - UAH 62.06 - the price has increased by more than 30%," the experts noted.
It is reported that all borscht ingredients have risen in price to varying degrees over the year - from 5% to 284.4%.
As experts added, prices for vegetables increased more: compared to February 2021, prices for beets and carrots more than doubled, and cabbage almost quadrupled.
Potatoes went up the least (+5.05%).
Recall that vegetables of the borscht set in Ukraine are becoming more expensive due to the lack of vegetable stores.
